Tournament Points By participating in tournaments, tournament points are awarded. Certainly more points are given if the tournmanent is played more successfully, but also the number of participants plays a role. But even if you should fail already after the first round tournament points are awarded. The table gives an overview of the to be awarded tournament points. Depending how far you get, you will receive the displayed tournament points at the end of the tournament. You always have to win your first game to get more points than for round one. If there are byes, a player can start already in round 2. If he looses that game the player will only get equal points as a player who is eliminated in the first round. In rare cases the tournament leader may decide to use a different point system. This will be announced prior to tournament start. The table provides an overview of the tournaments, in which a different point system has been used. In combination of the sum of all tournament points with the number of particpated tournaments the success points (Erfolgspunkte) are calculated using the shown formula: success points = ((number of tournaments - 1) / 10) + 1) * tournament points In summary this means that you get 10% more success points for each participated tournament (except for the first). Medals are awarded for 100, 500, 2000, 5000 and 10000 success points (see player's profile).
